Why “not my tab”?
It’s what I started saying to myself, and now my family say it back to me. So much of what we carry was never ours. We just noticed it first: someone else’s mood, a decision that belongs to someone else, a job nobody asked us to hold. Noticing is not the same as owning. By the end of the course, I hope you’ll be saying it too.
How much time does it take?
About seven minutes a lesson, plus a few minutes on your Tabs Map. My suggestion is two lessons a week, but there’s no wrong pace.
Can I listen instead of watching?
Yes. Every lesson is a short video with simple slides, and an audio version you can listen to on a walk or in the car.
Will anyone see my tabs?
No. Your Tabs Map is saved only on your own device, so nobody else can see it, including me. Use the same phone or computer each time so it’s there when you come back.
How do I get in, and how long do I have?
You’ll get an email with your login straight away (check your spam folder if you can’t see it). The course is yours to keep, so you can come back to any lesson whenever you need it.
Is this therapy?
No. It’s a practical, self-paced course. It isn’t therapy, diagnosis, medical advice or crisis support. If you’re struggling, please talk to your GP or someone you trust. You can call Samaritans free on 116 123, any time, or text SHOUT to 85258. In an emergency, call 999.
Why is there a founding price?
The first 10 people to join pay £27 for exactly the same course, using a code from me. In return, I’ll ask what helped and what didn’t, so your feedback shapes the course for everyone after you.
What if it’s not for me?
If you change your mind within 14 days of joining, and you’ve listened to no more than two lessons, email me at kate@toomanytabs.app for a full refund. No questions asked.
Who is Kate?
I’m Kate Guest, the author of Close the Tabs. By day I work in corporate pharma; at home I’m a parent, and the one who remembers everything. For a long time I was the person holding everything. What helped wasn’t getting more organised. It was seeing it all clearly, and realising how much I was carrying that was never mine to carry. This is the course I wish I’d had.
You can’t close the tabs you can’t see.
